Line 1
To begin this meditation, get into a comfortable position, whether you choose to lie down or sit, as long as you're comfortable.
Line 2
Now, close your eyes and relax your body. Let it go limp in whatever position you're in.
Line 3
I want you to start taking a couple slow, deep breaths.
Line 4
Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale
Line 5
Now, think of a location you find relaxing. It can be a place you’ve been before, or a place that you wish to go to. It can even be made up, surround yourself in a world with things you like and that calms you.
Line 6
Keep imagining this safe space, are there any people? What colors do you see? Is it vibrant or muted? What can you hear? What time is it? Is it warm, hot, or cold? What’s the weather like?
Line 7
Focus on your surroundings and use all your senses to immerse yourself while breathing.
Line 8
Once you feel like you’re ready, open your eyes, and relax in your new-found peace.
